Affect/Effect:
For affect I remember that "A" is for action. For Effect I remember the "E" is for end result.

Their/There:
I remember "their" as a possessive because the "eir" are all letters in my first name. I remember "there" as a place because the final three letter, "ere," sounds like Erie, which reminds me of the great lake.
