I have always used the planning,
drafting, and developing steps during
the writing process, so that is not a change for me. Going
through multiple stages of revising and editing, especially with
reviews by others, made a tremendously positive impact on the quality
of the paper. The proofreading is something that I have always
done for academic papers, but with multiple revisions it gave me an
opportunity to proofread the paper multiple times.
The part of the writing process that repeatedly gives me the greatest
difficultly is writing the opening paragraph. I have a very hard
time with the opening thought, and phrasing, but once that is done the
rest of the paper tends to flow much easier.
