IT101 Week 5: Checkpoint

"WIU Copyrighted Material Removed at Their Request"

Hawkins, D. (2000).  Data on home computers not necessarily your own.  U.S. News & World Report, 128(8), 85.

Hawkins discusses the rising concern of employers having access to employees' home computers and data, regardless of whether it was used for work.  Hawkins used the example of Northwest Airlines having a federal judge order an employee's personal computers turned over for forensic analysis.  Hawkins ends with some suggestions on how to keep your information private even if your computer has to be turned over to law enforcement.
